There are many ways you can help the Home of Hope!
- Give financially - please contact the donor partner in your country or in the country closest to yours. Our partners collect funds from many sources and send them to us regularly, this helps reduce bank fees.
- Sponsor a child - please find further details on our sponsorship page.
- Volunteer - Home of Hope welcomes visitors who stay with us and help in a variety of ways. If you are interested in visiting the Home, please read the volunteer page for more information. Again, if you have further questions, the donor partner in your country will help you further.
- Donate goods - from time to time, our donor partners ship containers filled with goods. The last container blessed us with computers, which one of our volunteers used to set up our computer lab, as well as lots of furniture for our school and assembly hall! A list of items suitable for donation can be found here. Send them to your closest donor partner (or arrange for them to collect the items from you) and they will be sent out with the next container. This allows us to obtain items, such as computers, which are prohibitively expensive in Malawi.
- Pray for us, by yourself or with some friends.
- Get together with some of your classmates, colleagues, friends and/or sports club and sponsor a child together.
- Organise a fundraising event at your school, work, church or sports club. (eg uniform-free day, or a 'walk/run/cycle for Home of Hope)
- Talk to your friends, colleagues and/or classmates about Home of Hope.
- Instead of giving a birthday or Christmas present, you could donate some money to us and tell your friend or family member that you have given to someone more needy, eg textbooks for one of our children.
- Set up direct giving, where employees can elect that a certain amount of their salaries be paid directly to the Home of Hope partner in your country.
- When you update your computers, or change office furniture, etc, donate the old to us.
- Power in Malawi is unreliable and can damage our electronic equipment - a power regulator would help us.
- Malawi has lots of sunshine, but solar panels are very expensive - perhaps you can help us?
- Contact us to discuss becoming a Partner with us.
