Home of Hope is located near Mchinji, about a 1.5 hour drive West of Lilongwe, Malawi's capital. We are just a few kilometres from the Zambian border. When you visit us, if you ask the kids, some of them will gladly walk with you up one of the hills behind the orphanage and show you Zambia.
Home of Hope is a a peaceful orphan village, set at the base of a hill. We have fresh water year round from the hills behind us. The hills encourage the rain; the surrounding countryside is rich and green.
Mchinji, which has shops, markets and the District government offices, is a few kilometres down a dirt road from Home of Hope.
