As we say in Malawi, "Please feel free". Make yourself at home. This site contains information about us, what we do, how we do it and how to contact us. If you're interested in sponsoring a child please download a sponsorship form and follow the instructions. What is Home of Hope?
Home of Hope is an orphanage in Mchinji, Malawi, just next to the Zambian border. We are the oldest private orphanage in Malawi run by Malawians. We care for over 600 orphans from all over Malawi, providing food, shelter and good quality education in a loving environment.
Home of Hope was set up by Reverend Chipeta. Himself an orphan who was given a chance to survive and thrive, his heart is to give even better opportunities to today's young orphans. "If you plant a good seed, you reap good crops. Youth are the future of our society," says Rev. Chipeta. "We need to plant seeds of love and hope in our children, so that they will grow up wanting to contribute to society in productive ways."
Rev. Chipeta has received a number of national and international awards for his work with Malawian orphans. To find out more click here.
