Another award- on Wednesday, 30th December 2009, Rev. Chipeta received a TVM Our People Our Pride award for his work at the Home of Hope. The awards are given to ordinary Malawians who have done great things for their country.

EU donation- the EU mission in Malawi recently donated a Landrover 4x4 vehicle to the Home of Hope. It is being assigned to the clinic to transport those who require medical attention at the district hospital in Mchinji.

New school terms- in November 2009, the Malawian Government changed the dates of school terms in Malawi. They will now follow the European system of three terms. The first term starts in September and exams will take place in June. Unfortunately, this means that our current Standard 8s, Form 2s and Form 4s will have only 9 months to prepare for their exams instead of the usual 12.
