Home of Hope cannot perform its work without donors. While some of our donors are Malawians, the majority of the Home's funding comes from abroad, through our sponsorship partners. We have four main sponsorship partners who have been helping the Home for many years; Malawi Orphan Fund in the UK, Coast Hill Community Church in the USA, St Andrews United Church in Canada and Commission for Witness in South Africa.
Details on each of these partners can be found under the country headings in the menu. Two years ago, Raise Malawi began aiding the Home and in 2009 provided us with two thirds of our income as well as funding two large building projects.
While the cost of raising a child with a full education in Malawi is far cheaper than in the west, we care for and educate over 600 children. This means that we are always looking for more sponsors to increase the quality of care and education we can offer our orphans. We would love to have Partners all over the world.
Please contact us (link) if you would like to become a Partner in your country. As a Partner, you would:
- Be the main point of contact for your country (and surrounding countries);
- Collect donations for Home of Hope from your country (and surrounding countries) and transfer them to Malawi;
- Apply for tax-deductible giving status in your country (where relevant);
- Promote Home of Hope and its activities in your country; and
- Liaise with other Partners around the world as necessary.
