Benefactors

We'd like to thank the construction companies SDC, SCL and O'Brien Contractors for their support for the Vocational Training Centre development at Home of Hope. The VTC intends to fulfil the vision of enabling vulnerable children to live to their full potential, by training them to enter practical work supporting the local economy.

The money will address a number of needs including:

  • finishing two houses to accommodate VTC staff
  • completing a site wall to provide a safe and secure environment
  • 50 mattresses with blankets and pillows for VTC hostels
  • tools for certain courses including Metal Work/Fabrication and Welding
  • substantially progressing sanitation work - installing a septic tank for the new VTC staff houses and pit latrines for the new VTC student hostels

We very much welcome this support from the construction companies as part of their CSR contributions, and from other organisations. The Home continues to grow to accommodate increased demand and better serve the children it homes and the local community, so there are always projects in need of funding. If you think your company would be interested in supporting a project, we would be delighted to hear from you.
